Zone 5: The Muscular System

Zone 5: The Muscular System

“Be strong, you never know who you are inspiring!”

Dr. Thurman Fleet taught the following – “there are only six kinds of disturbances that can affect the human body. These are GLANDULAR, ELIMINATIVE, NERVOUS, DIGESTIVE, MUSCULAR, and CIRCULATORY. All diseased conditions, aches and pains, and other discomforts experienced by the body can be attributed to one or more of the above disturbances to the body’s 6 systems or Zones.

This month we are focusing on the fifth zone/system in the body: The Muscular System

The muscular system consists of all of the muscles in your body as well as your skeletal system. Our muscles were created to provide support to our skeleton so one cannot exist without the other. We are at our best when we have achieved ‘relaxed strength.’ Our muscles are turned on and supporting our structure but there is a relaxed tone within them. From this state of being, we are functioning perfectly within our muscular system.

When we have an imbalance in the muscular system we may experience symptoms such as:

  • Pain in any body part
  • Weakness
  • Easily fatigued
  • Imbalance
  • TMJ issues
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Disc herniation
  • Muscle tension

Along with getting your Muscular System checked and balanced by a Zone Certified Practioner, another great way to create balance in this system is by addressing external stressors. When we feel mentally overloaded, overwhelmed, or bogged down we create dis-ease within our
muscular system. It is important to remember during these times that “play” is an extremely productive antidote. What do you enjoy doing? Do more of that! And watch the tension in your body melt away.
